I had a question on how you would code for a TAVR used for Aortic Regurgitation and mixed Aortic Regurgitation Aortic Stenosis? What are the appropriate DRGs, Physician codes, and ICD-10 codes for coding? Please advise. Thank you

I know the ICD-10 diagnosis codes for aortic insufficiency (aka regurgitation):
I35.1 Non-rheumatic aortic (valve) insufficiency (regurgitation)

I35.2 Non-rheumatic aortic (valve) stenosis with insufficiency
 
There is no one size fits all answer to the CPT. The CPT code submitted for TAVR is dependent on the approach. Please see page 253 in your CPT manual for the TAVR codes for aortic valve replacement.

The correct ICD-10 code for aortic regurgitation with stenosis is I35.2 and would be the only code reported per the ICD-10 guidelines with respect to combination codes.
