A patient had a 31238 done. Then had to have it done again on the same day. Office used a modifier 78 and and the system did not like this. Can someone please advise?
 
mod 78 vs 76

modifier -76 is for same day repeat procedures. -78 is usually used after day of procedure within post-op period.
