Question-

If chart is stating that pt has Covid Pneumonia but the covid tests are now negative (second week of hospital stay) would you only code the J12.82 or would you also code U07.1 even though the tests are negative?

Any help would be appreciated.

If the tests were positive during earlier part of the hospital stay, then it should be coded U07.1 since it was an active condition during the encounter. The ICD coding conventions are to report the patients' conditions that are present or affect treatment during the entire encounter, admit through discharge, not just for certain portion of it.
