Hi all,
Is Generalized Arthritis reported as M19.90 or M15.9 or M15.0 or?
Code Block Notes (M15-M19) instructs: Assign a primary osteoarthritis code when the SITE of the osteoarthritis is documented BUT the TYPE of osteoarthritis-primary, secondary, generalized, or post-traumatic-is not documented. Primary is considered the default.
Category M15- Includes note: arthritis of multiple sites
Category M19.9- note: Assign M19.90 when neither the SITE nor the TYPE of osteoarthritis-primary, secondary, or post-traumatic-is documented.
