I cannot find a code for a exploratory arthrotomy of the second carpometacarpal joint. My doc wants to code 25101 arthrotomy wrist joint w/ joint exploration. Is this correct or is there a more appropriate code?
 
25101 would only be appropriate if he explored the entire wrist joint. The 26070 is the more appropriate code for the "carpometacarpal" joint only.
