Dear All,

I have a doubt;Full term cesarean delivery due to fetal distress what icd10 code s i should code.

My doubt is if i code fetal distress as pdx and the additional dx as cesarean delivery what code i should i append for cesarean delivery because the code O82 say's Cesarean delivery without indication but in my case patient has fetal distress. Since fetal distress was the indication what will be the best additional dx code to choose.

You do not need to use O82 if you have a reason for the C-section.

For fetal distress, it can depend on what they are actually talking about. If it's heartrate (decels, etc) then O76.. if it's other reasons, see O77.x
