I have used the cpt code 15777 in place of 15430 to bill for the xenograft placed in a carotid endarterectomy. Medicare of Arkansas is stating that a qualifying procedure must be used, but will not tell me what that qualifying procedure is. There are none listed in the CPT book. I do not know if I am using the wrong code or using it incorrectly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I would be interested to find out opinions on this as well. I was wondering what we were going to use in place of 15430. The ones the cpt code book lead you to do not support the deleted code.
