Has anyone ever used case management codes for Behavioral Health when calling patients? Does insurance typically pay for these codes?

A few insurances will pay facility based case management under HCPCS code H0006 and rev code 0900, but very few. I know of billing companies that have used 98960, but I am not sure if that is appropriate since I believe its more for disease management training i.e. how to use a glucometer or give yourself a B12 shot.

I am not sure if anything exists for calling patients.

Depending on your payer and state. In TN some payers will pay while we now have a HealthLink product that has taken over the case management services for the TennCare MCO's
