Does anyone know if we can bill an office visit code with G8420 (Face-to-face educational services related to the care of chronic kidney disease; individual, per session, per one hour)?

My doctor specializes in Kidney diseases and he was curious.

Hello Johanna Diecidue,

Did you mean G0420? There aren't any edits between these two codes. I would think as long as the documentation for 99214 supported the document requirements for the level of service and separate problem from the one hour face-to-face educational services of CKD than you could bill in addition.
