I have a procedure that I am hoping to get some help on. The Dr did a laparoscopic assisted total abdominal colectomy, omentectomy, mobilize splenic flexure and ileorectostomy.

I came up with 44210, 44213. There aren't any CCI edit conflicts. However, I am told this cannot be billed together. The patient has BCBS.

Does anyone know if these two codes are payable together? Thanks.
 
44210 is a total colectomy and add-on code 44213 can only be used in conjunction with partial colectomies.
The omentectomy, mobilize splenic flexure and ileorectostomy are included in code 44210.
