we have had some of claims for bladder scans (51798) being denied by Medicare as no medical necessity.(we are in WI) I can't find anything in the LCD/NCD about any changes
any info would be much appreciated

We use all of those codes on our Bladder scans (Minnesota) and don't have issues with the medical necessity. I put all the 51798 code in the crosswalk and all 3 dx codes are coming up in there. Maybe you should appeal it.

I use those codes on bladder scans as well, and have not had any problems. I agree with Machelle, I would appeal.
