If doctor places a seroma catheter while in office, outside of the post op period, is 10030 appropriate if image guidance was not utilized? (seroma cath placed due to golf ball sized tense fluid collection in outer aspect of mastectomy falp) I was looking at 10140, however doctor has indicated that it was not an incision and drainage. I did find a resource that stated that "there is not a specific cpt code for the actual placement of the drain associated with the seroma drainage", so I am just looking for additional feedback to this circumstance.
