Wiki Billing for re-casting

HELP!!

I have a patient where the provider cut a window into the cast to check the stitches and then re-applied a casting to coder the window. Would you bill for the re-casting or does that fall within the fracture care global?

I could not find anything on-line regarding something like this.

not sure you can capture it..maybe with a 52 modifier but not really sure.

There is a code, 29730, for windowing of cast. I've never seen it get paid, but you could try it. If the provider did not remove and then replace the cast you cannot bill for cast application.
