The code for BRCA + is Z15.01. The issue I'm having with the following scenario is the insurance company is denying as this cannot be billed as a primary dx.
The reason for the patients' visit is to discuss the results of her being BRCA positive and her options on what treatment options she has or would be recommended.
 
I have used the family history codes as primary if the carrier is giving me grief about Z15.01 or Z15.02.
