I have come across a patient that received epidural 01967 on one day and 01968 on the next day. It is being denied due to being done on different days. Is there documentation stating this can or can not be done.

Was the 01967 epidural continuous until the 01968 was called? If so, we bill both lines with the same date and each line has the time designations. The 01968 is an add-on code and some payers may want this billed on the same day.
