Anyone know how to bill for the allergy serum? I've seen it billed for several visits, when the patient only came in once to pick up the serum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
The allergy preparation serum code is 95144 depending on what the serum is... and units to be billed. Check on insurance carrier rules and state rules. ..
 
We bill 95165 for serum mix. Each insurance has an allowed amount per day. You will need to check with your payers for there allowable units. I know Medicare is only 30 billable units per day.
