Hello Everyoone,

1) patient had abn pap with HPV. what is the correct diagnosis code to use for Primary Physician. 795. 05/795.09 or 079.4. There is no DNA test. I think 795.09 is OK. I would like to get feed back.

2) Pt is going for Elective termination of pregnancy . Laminara inserted by Provider in clinic. Is it V61.7 Unwanted pregnancy or legally induced abortion 635.XX?

Please give me the example when to use those codes.

Abnormal pap is dependant upon what type of cells were present. 795.01 ASCUS, 793.02 ASCH, 795.03 LSIL, 795.04 HGSIL. The HPV is 795.05. You post both diagnosis codes.

Elective abortion is 635.9 if there are no complications, with v61.7 secondary
