A child was seen for a therapy evaluation over the course of three days. They inputted the 97003 code for each date of service and billed them out separately. How can I best fix this to tell the story?
 
OK, first is this for Physical Therapy or Occ Therapy?

First vist would be depending:

97001-GP for PT along with any therapy performed
97003-GO for OT along with any therapy performed

each visit needs to be coded with what the therapist did (97014, 97110, 97116 as examples)

Hi, Thanks for your reply. It was inputted as 97003 GO and that is all they gave me- no therapies were listed to add to the eval code. The little one couldn't handle the 90 minute eval in one sitting so they broke it into sections.
 
OK, in that case - I would think you would bill for this first date seen and not the next two because you are finishing the initial visit.
