Recently Medicare is bundling 81003 (urine dip without microscopy) with 81001 (urine dip with microscopy). This started over the past few months and only with Medicare. Anyone have an idea why this has started? If the urine dip 81003 shows abnormal, we send to lab for C&S and they bill 81001. My claim for 81003 is being denied.
