When we have a patient in need of sinus surgery as 70486 is ordered to identify the need for surgery. If the patient needs surgery an Image Guided Stereotactic is needed. My understanding is the 77011 code for the stereotactic is for TC only. So if the CT is performed as diagnostic and 70486 is billed, can the ENT who billed the 70486 then bill a 77011 on day of surgery if the CD is burned from the original CT and used during surgery?
