Hello All,

I am performing an audit on some pain management injection op reports. The provider is coding 72275 with every injection and I don't think that the documentation supports the use of this code. I don't see enough documentation to support that the service was performed for diagnostic purposes. This note demonstrates "placement" to me.

Hi

Based on the information you've provided, you should not report 72275. Out of curiosity, was this done in the office or ASC setting? It would make a difference in coding.
