Can anyone tell me what cpt code you would use for an intracranial venous stent? I've been using 61635 for intracranial stent, but that's for the arterial side. What about the venous side that just happens to be intracranial? Please let me know your thoughts.

The description for 61630/61635 does not specify arterial side...these can be used for venous placements, IMO.

I don't code these kind of procedures but Optum EncoderPro shows that 61630 and 61635 are for arterial interventions. I looked it up because all other interventions are separated by arterial and venous systems so I was curious why these codes wouldn't be the same way. Just wanted to let you guys know.
