I am trying to understand the difference between 54300 and 54360. They seem to be the same when i look at the code descriptions. Is anyone familiar with these codes?

54300 is the surgical correction or straightening of a bent penis due to a hypospadias abnormality seen most often in very young males. 54360 is the operative procedure, called a Nesbit repair to correct a bent but otherwise normal penis in an adult. These are two different procedures. If there is any doubt ask the surgeon which procedure he is performing.
