How is everyone coding radiofrequency ablation of bilat nasal septal swell bodies? In Nov 2019 CPT Assistant has an article that states even though work is performed through both nostrils, all work is still being performed on a midline structure, so they suggest only reporting the code once. The info that rep gave in 2024 suggests using -59 or XS. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you for responding. Are you familiar with the C1889 Implantable/insertable device, not otherwise classified? It is also mentioned on the information from the rep, but from what I gather that is only to be used by the hospital. It would not be captured if the procedure was performed in a clinic.

not sure what your implanting but if done in facility and they purchase supply then they bill for it
