CMS Pushes COP Deadline

If you don’t submit your comments on revisions to the Home Health Conditions of Partici-pation by the Dec. 8 deadline, don’t sweat it. CMS has pushed back the comment deadline to Jan. 7, 2015, it says in a Dec. 1 Federal Register notice.
You may comment via the notice at www.federalregister.gov/articles/2014/12/01 — scroll down to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Ser-vices entry and click the “Submit A Formal Com-ment” green button in the upper right-hand corner.
The COP revisions encompass major changes, including a new QAPI standard (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXIII, No. 35). The website shows 78 comments received as of press time.
