Of the 202 quality measures the Na-tional Quality Forum is reviewing for endorsement this year, one would impact the Home Health Quality Reporting Program.
Under its Measure Applications Partnership program, NQF is considering “Percent of Patients with Pressure Ulcers That Are New or Worsened” as an HQRP measure, it says in its list of CMS measures under consideration. The measure covers “Percentage of home health episodes of care in which the patient is discharged from home health with one or more pressure ulcer(s) that are Stage 2 - 4 or unstageable due to slough or eschar and are new or worsened since the start or resumption of care,” the list notes. The proposed measure is based on OASIS-C1 data.
CMS usually adopts NQF-endorsed measures for use on Home Health Compare.
