Chicago-based PurposeCare has acquired three new companies in four states, it says in a release. PurposeCare bought equity interests of Michiana Home Care which operates two Medicare-certified home health agencies in Michigan and Indiana; equity interests of Queen City Skilled Care, a certified HHA based in Cincinnati, Ohio; and A/Abiding Care-Elder Bridge, a private pay home care agency in Illinois. PurposeCare was formed in 2021 and is backed by private equity firm Lorient Capital. The acquisitions add to its operations in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
