Non-Affirmed Claims Stall Under RCD Processing Error

Watch out for the newest glitch delaying RCD claims. “Providers under Review Choice Demonstration (RCD) who are also under Pre-Claim Review (Choice 1) may have non-affirmed UTNs that they are unable to send resubmissions with,” HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor Palmetto GBA says on its Claims Payment Issues Log. “After the decisions are rendered, the information is not resolving in the CWF,” the RCD contractor reports. Home health agencies will have to sit tight for the moment. “Providers are still receiving decisions letters, but the decisions are listed as pending in the portal,” the MAC says. “Palmetto GBA is working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible,” the contractor pledges.
