After passing the RCMS-KSA certification exam, you'll become a certified Revenue Cycle Management Specialist. Adding this credential to your name proves to employers you have the specific job skills and knowledge needed to be successful in revenue cycle management settings within the Saudi Arabia healthcare market.
Our RCMS-KSA program has been developed specifically around the Saudi Arabia coding and billing standards as specified by each of the key regulatory bodies, including the Ministry of Health (MOH), Saudi Health Council (SHC), Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institution (CBAHI), Council of Health Insurance (CHI), and (Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA).
Your RCMS-KSA credential will show that you thoroughly understand the ins and outs of a patient's visit — from their arrival at the front desk to their discharge/check out from the facility. This includes an understanding of claims submissions using insurance protocols, billing regulations, and medical codes.
Exam format
135 multiple-choice questions and 15 case studies (case analysis of various RCM stages)
Two ways to take the exam
Choose to take the exam online at home with a live remote proctor, or on a computer at a testing center. Learn more about your exam options and how to prepare.
Time allowed
Exams are administered in one sitting, with four hours to complete the exam.
Equipment required for exam
Our live remote proctored exam requires a closed room free from distraction with window coverings, a reliable, high-speed internet connection, a computer, and an external webcam that can be positioned to show your face, hands, keyboard, and the area around the keyboard (about 10 inches).
Exams taken at a testing center do not require any special equipment from the test-taker.
Approved code books
There is no code book required for the exam, the references used in the RCMS-KSA curriculum are available as attached files within the exam online.
Maintaining your certification
To maintain your credential, you must maintain your AAPC annual membership, and earn 16 continuing education units (CEUs) every two years.
