Wiki Z3A-- with ALL O Codes?

Is it a rule that all O codes have to have Z3A.-- for weeks of gestation? I have been told this is correct but I do not see it in the Chapter 15 Guidelines. I have a patient in the puerperium who was admitted for anemia within a week after her delivery. So is it correct for me to use O90.81 with Z3A.41 even though she is not actually "gestation" any longer?

It is my understanding that all claims coded with chapter 15 codes are to also have the Z3A.xx code as well on the claim. This is notated in the notes at the beginning of the chapter.

sorry, forgot to add that Z3A.xx are only to be added to claims where pt is still pregnant. It is not needed for postpartum care according to notes in chapter 21 under Z3A.
