Wiki X-ray reimbursement

Hello everyone,

question: If a patient comes to see one of our docs and has outside x-rays done and our doc is reviewing them, am I allowed to bill an x-ray code with a 26 for reviewing/interpreting the diag for treatment? Please let me know.

no to look over xrays brought in by the patient is part of the E&M. There has already been an official interpretation of the films provided and billed out.
