Help......work in a Family Practice and don't see a lot of this....
Patient came in with a Wrist Sprain done in Welding Class at school, Doctor gave patient a wrist splint and ordered an X ray.
E/M billed (wrist sprain) as well as a wrist splint (L-code)
Patient returns 2 days later, X ray was reviewed which confirmed a fracture of the scaphoid bone. Doctor then placed a fiberglass cast (gauntlet)
What should I bill for, for the second visit? E/M or Application of Cast?
