Hi, I have a patient that was seen in the hospital outpatient setting to have a wound repacked two days after his surgery for a perineal abscess. (NOTE: My doctor did not do the initial surgery.) Due to the pain involved in the repacking, anesthesia was administered. After anesthesia, repacking was completed with no complications. How do I code for this procedure?
