I hope some one can help me!! We are having problems with the code combinations for our wound care patients who are receiving hyperbaric chamber therapy. We have a patient who has a wound on his left foot amputation with wound on the stump which has been treated with conservative treatment unsucessfully, so then he was treated with hyperbaric therapy. This was paid by Medicare. Then he had wound of the right great toe, we did debridement and with the next two weeks started the hyperbaric. This wound had a failed graft which was placed by podiatrist previously. Since this is a new wound does it need to have 30 days of conservative treatment before the hyperbaric therapy begins?
