Can a PMR Physician get credit for the ROS for resp. failure if he or she is not treating the patient but in return list the resp. failure as one of the dx. on his or her patient problem list. Would the dx belong to the Pulmonologist since he is treating/managing the vent care of the resp. failure patient? If the Pulmonolgist gets credit for the resp. failure would this also apply if the patient had urosepis meaning that the ID Physician would get credit and not the PMR Physician. Please Advice !!! ASAP!!!!!!!
