When billing 99291 for a patient when two different providers are seeing the patient from the same multi-specialty practice, does one need to use a modifier to differentiate indicating different specialty or should one bill a consultant code? Generally one gets denied citing the other. How does one fix this issue?

A 25 modifier on the second visit should fix that issue.
