Does anyone know of a specific code for evaluating a patient who is in a wheelchair? Such as, a patient sees an internist and is wheelchair bound. Would there be something specific as to the patient being in a wheelchair?

Regular E/M codes

You would use the usual E/M codes. Obviously you couldn't examine "gait and station" but you can state WHY this is impossible and still get credit for the musculoskeletal system (especially if you are using 1995 guidelines).
