Wiki What if you had a group therapy and only one patient came in?

I was wondering, is it still Group Therapy (90853) when you have the space booked and appointments scheduled and you follow the session plan built for Group but for one reason or another when the time came for the session there was only one client who showed up for the service? Is it still a Group?
 
No, group requires 2 or more patients present. Also if you bill group you will likely be short changed as the group RVU/fee is lower as it accounts for being able to bill multiple patients insurance
