Dictation states: Flat foot secondary to neurologic injury. I am unsure how to code the injury, as no dictation priror to this states anything about a neurologic injury. Can someone help please? & Thank you!
I don't believe so. Pt had sx prior and we have been billing out 734 since before sx,, but all the dictation states is that its secondary to the injury. I was going to go with a nerve injury unspecified but I was hoping for a more specific dx to use if I can.
You will need to code late effect of nerve injury look at 905- 908 codes code the foot deformity as an acquired condition so look at foot drop carefully to make sure it is not in the congenital anomaly chapter.
The foot condition is coded first the late effect second
