I am trying to audit charts for cardiologists and this is a new area for me. The doctor documents under the exam - Peripheral pulses: 2+ bilateral DPs. Can someone please tell me what that means? Also, where would I count this under the 95 guidelines and the 97 guidelines?

Thanks for all responses!! :)

While abbreviations can at times be specific to certain offices. Generally, DP will stand for "distal pulse" which is usually the foot or the ankle/knee.

Pulses are rated on a scale ranging from 0 (not palpable) to 2+ (normal). As
with edema, this is very subjective and it will take you a while to develop
a sense of relative values. In the event that the pulse is not palpable, the
doppler signal generated is also rated, ranging again from 0 to 2+.

Thank you! Now that makes more sense than the meaning I got for that abbreviation - which was deep pulse! :)
