If the doctor did a fungal culture (DTM) and a KOH and they came back positive, what would you use as the diagnosis for each?

I am finding it hard to differentiate between the DTM and KOH in terms of Onychomycosis and Tinea

Why was the lab ordered, what diagnosis code or screening code was provided for the laboratory test to be done? That is the code you will assign.

A coder may not interpret lab results, you must have a provider interpretation in the patient chart note. Without the interpretation the as Dana stated use the reason the test was ordered.
