Orthopedic saw a workman's comp patient for follow up of a knee injury and is at MMI (99455) and also sees the same patient for a finger sprain on the same day, also a WC injury, but separate injury times. Now, the physician wants to charge both for the 99455 and a 99212. I am not sure you can charge for both evaluations. They are separate claims. Can someone help me.
