New at this, if the doctor is not in the office and he has his staff performs the procedure(Visual Field)can he charge for it? If so does he need to document the interpetation in a note for that day of test results? The patient is coming back for follow up visit to go over results.

Yes, in order to charge for the field, you need an interpretation and report from the doc, regardless of whether or not the doc actually sees the patient.

When the patient comes back to discuss, you would charge the office visit.
