Do you verify before billing on each and every patient if the pre/post anes eval has been done? What about verifying before billing if the anesthesiologist was present at induction/emergence and did some sort of check during the procdure if a CRNA is involved?

You could certainly do this type of pre-bill audit.
Keep in mind, the provider has 48 hours to complete the post-op evaluation.

We audit each anesthesia service before a claim is ever submitted to any carrier. It's very time consuming but necessary.
