Hello,
I need some help on how to code the following:
Patient is 4 moths status post total knee arthroplasty (12/3/2014) in February she fell, twisted he knee. She is feeling a little wobbly and feels there something moving inside her knee. Exam: reveals anterior, posterior, varus and valgus instability. Doctor feels she may have dislodged the articular component, polyethylene articular insert. He is recommending a polyethylene articular insert echange.
Would I code 718.86 instability since she was doing fine before the fall I don't think it would be a complication would it?
Any help is appreciated.
