Hi, One of our Physician's performed an in-office Hysteroscopy for evaluation of abundant vaginal discharge. We are unsure of how to code. She used the hysteroscope to look at the patient's vagina, but did not actually inspect the patient's uterus with the hysteroscope. Should we still use cpt code 58555? I have searched for a code for Vaginoscopy, but I have not been able to find a cpt code that accurately describes the procedure that was performed. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Description of procedure: "Her introitus was prepped with Betadine. The 5mm hysteroscope was advanced into the vagina, and the vagina was distended with saline. The vagina was inspected. There was some mucous in the vagina but there were no masses or signs of defects. The hysteroscope was removed. A speculum was inserted and the cervix was visualized; it appeared normal. The vagina and cervix were palpably normal."
