I have a physician who incised a finger looking for a frament of glass from a broken iPad. She used lidocaine and dug around in finger and then irrigated it. She thought she felt something but was never able to see anything. Can I use a procedure code for this? If so should I use the 53 modifier to say it wasn't completed? Help!! Thanks
