Hello...
I work for an insurance company and we are trying to figure out something regarding lab charges. We get bills from the physicians office and then we get bills from the lab companies. Can both places bill for a G code? What we typically see is the physician will bill G0434 ( for the dip ) and then they send the sample out to the lab. Well when we get the lab bill in sometimes we see the lab company will bill G0431 and then other times they dont bill a G code at all. When both places bill a G code is this appropriate?
Any help would be great!
