If the physician attempts a LP 3 times with unsuccessful return of fluid. And the patient will be given a referral for an LP under flouroscopy. Do you bill for this procedure? And if so, what modifier? 52 or 53? Thank you!
 
Report this with 52. Mod 53 is used when the physican discontinues the procedure that may be due to patient intolerance or etc...
