Any suggestions for coding application of unna dressing on the upper extremities? Some sources say to report as 29580 (unna boot), but my understanding is that this code is for the lower extremities only. Other sources suggest reporting only an E/M level, but I hate to do this if there's a more appropriate code to use.

Any insight is appreciated!
 
Per the AAPC encoder description for 29580 it is for the lower extremities only. I would use 29584 since it is the closest code to it.
